A very interesting look into knife crime and the way people, especially the younger generation, can get brainwashed into doing vile acts. The show is about a murder, yet rather than going super into the events it feeds us reasons as to why it happened. It's not like Darmher and shit like that, it's fictional with real life influences for a start which helps. The shows big thing for me is highlighting what you could call the crisis of social media particularly on the youth. You have people, particularly Andrew Tate who is name dropped, spewing lessons of hate particularly on women and also lessons to self-hate yourself. Here we see how dangerous brainwashing from people like Tate can be. It's very much a lesson of knowing who young people around you are idolising and making sure you set the best example for them. Social media should be banned for kids in all honesty, especially when fucks like Andrew Tate have a presence on it.
Aside from that, the technical side of this show is incredible. Every episode is one continuous shot and it gives it this super raw and realistic feel to it, like honestly it feels like the most immersive thing I've ever watched. It's really cool. The acting is so good to, especially from the main kid, easily the best child acting I've seen it's Oscar worthy.
Great show. It's pretty unconventional and can be so heartbreaking.
