I know I’ve not made it entirely clear what show I was going to be starting after just finishing Six feet under, so I’ve not really built my hype up around starting this show yet. But I have been wanting to watch this for a while, and it looked really good. This was a promising start. The modern, rich aesthetic and glossy interior made this a really fresh and pleasant introductory. The introductions to all our characters present were pretty damn great, shaping up intense conflicts and a deep competitive environment through the family here. Some of the dialogue pieces were fucking strong, the portrayals of power struggles and internal divisions through each and every characters has me so excited to see what’s to come. So many moments had my heart in my throat, the calm piano music playing at the most extreme moment doesn’t help either 😭 I’m honestly thinking of bumping this up to a 4, but I’m gonna stick with the high 3.5 for now. Damn great start to this show.
