it hit me that jack rabbit's palace is likely where major briggs had his vision. this was already highlighted in season 2, as if from major briggs point of view, it had already happened. 'and we embraced. and we were one being... and then i woke up, with this feeling of optimism and confidence in who you are. i wish you the best in your future endeavours.' what if major briggs is the dreamer who dreams, and then lives inside the dream? also, jack rabbit's palace bears a resemblance to the giants place. there's some more layers to this. cooper in part 18 drives into odessa, texas, after waking up as richard and exiting a different motel room than the one cooper went to sleep in the night before. the population sign on the odessa city limits he goes past is the actual population of odessa at the time of filming. this, alongside other indicators, imply that we are now in 'reality,' or rather closer to it than we were in twin peaks, again suggesting that twin peaks is a dream place. odessa is the home of 'the world's largest jackrabbit,' a statue that is named jack ben rabbit. the statue stands at 8 feet tall, making it a 'giant.' the statue's location stands at 802 north sam houston ave. in odessa. 8 + 0 + 2 = 10, the number of completion. approximately a 10 minute drive from the 'giant' jackrabbit lies a shopping centre, where there is a sports bar called 'twin peaks.' the permian palace is also here, and it is a movie theatre where stories that are 'produced' in the hollywood 'dream factory' are displayed on screen, which is similar to what happens at the fireman's. thinking back to part 3 of the return, cooper goes into outlet #3, and enters our world. the american girl checks her watch, and that reads: saturday the 1st, 2:53pm. side note, 2 + 5 + 3 = 10, the number of completion. if cooper left the purple room and entered our world on october 1st, that would mean everything happening with him in nevada is occurring after everything happening in twin peaks. cooper's body may have actually traveled back in time, which is where we see him on the floor with jade. this would mean that in the purple room, it is october 1st, and roughly around september 21st when we meet dougie. cooper's consciousness is still in the purple room, or maybe somewhere between, in the timeframe of october 1st 2:53pm. until his timeline catches up to the purple room timeframe, he remains as dougie. this could be the reasoning behind the bizarre behaviour. also in part 3, evil cooper is driving and checking his clock, which coincidentally also reads 2:53pm, implying that it is october 1st for him as well, meaning there's about 10 days of time between all of the dougie and evil cooper scenes. interestingly, evil cooper only communicates with people who have a connection to dougie via telephone. is it possible that he's communicating back in time, and the box in argentina (jeffries?) helps to facilitate this, as evil cooper calls through the box, which proceeds to transmit the call through time and arrive at the other end? is it future, or is it past?
