༆𝐌𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐟𝐭𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬 - 𝐒𝟐 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰༆ ★★★★ 𝟴.𝟬/𝟭𝟬 That might be an unpopular opinion but this season wasn’t better than the first one in my opinion. Even though it has very high peaks (two best episodes so far), it has also few weakest (two worst episodes so far). Even though 2x7 and 2x8 are of of the best duet episodes ever, the beginning of the season was really slow. Especially the opener which is the worst ep of the show so far and considering how great S3 seems to be, it might stay this way. But anyway, I still enjoy that season a lot, just not as much as I expected to, and not as much as most of the people on this app I guess. The cinematography was also less impressive than in S1. However, while the soundtrack of S1 was already godly, the one from this season was even better (even though I didn’t think it was possible). I will write down most of the songs I loved in my final show review, and you’ll see that there are a lot lot. The performances weren’t as impressive as in S1. Maybe it’s because I got used to the great acting that I didn’t notice it in this season or maybe it was just not as great, I can’t figure it out. However, Justin Theroux’s performance was even greater in this season. And considering that it was already one of my favourite performances ever from S1, he might have become my favourite performance I’ve witnessed in 2025 so far with Matthew McConaughey in True Detective. Theroux’s performance is speechless.
