Just watched the finale, and I want to say that this is probably the best anime of the season and one of the most underrated anime of the decade! 💥🤍 As for the story, it takes place in 15th-century Poland, during a time when those who challenged Church teachings with heretical ideas were executed. 4 generations of scholars struggle to uncover the truth, ultimately leading to the discovery of heliocentrism. It’s absolutely thought-provoking, with well-written characters, good animation, a great soundtrack, and an amazing opening sequence. Most of the episodes are simply beautiful. In one word, it’s a masterpiece. The art style and atmosphere give off a Vinland Saga vibe. This show is not for everyone, but for those interested in deep storytelling, philosophy, and history, it’s a must-watch for fans of slow-paced historical dramas.
