A fine episode for most of the runtime, but the final scene absolutely makes it. The courtroom writing didn’t feel up to the level they were at in the first three seasons, so I wasn’t a huge fan of the decision to spend practically the entire episode there. Still, I think it was
necessary that we see the entire trial and put Matt through the wringer so that what ends up happening is even more devastating. His quip about the system sometimes working got me really primed for him to come back as Daredevil sooner rather than later. Dude is gonna be pissed next week. Also, it’s definitely way too soon to be making these predictions, but I wonder if they’re doing some kind of religious episode title and political title alternating every week. Just since the first and third episodes revolve around that theme. At least maybe a Matt relevant or Fisk relevant title each week. That could be kind of cool.
