That finale was such a generational episode it’s insane, I think that may be the best of the show so far, so much so that all 3 compendiums were purchased straight after.

I was so conflicted on this season being a 4 or a 4.5, I even averaged my ratings for the episodes and it was a 4.25 so that would be my actual rating. Mark V Cecil was a culmination of their battling philosophies and clashing dynamic in the first 2 seasons, Mark going for the throat just like Nolan did GOD the parallels In this show are so beautiful.

The invincible war was so unbelievably chaotic just hearing the other Marks talk and imagining the actual Mark talk like that really puts into perspective how built different this Mark is to be the ONLY good one. It felt like such a massive earth event that only lasted 1 episode, I know it was short in the comics but it’s hard to comprehend how much damage Angstrom actually did in just 1 ep.

I don’t want to yap too much about Conquest and that ep but that animation was beyond beautiful, JDM proved me so wrong that little confession whispered into marks ear, that kind of character work I love that shit so much. Eve had me spazzing out at her going creative mode and Mark actually turned the fuck up it was amazing. Head butting Conquest to death 😮‍💨 I couldn’t believe my eyes and “I can see the future, you don’t live to see tomorrow” genuinely could be top 5 hardest quotes oat.

Overall another peak season, Powerplex, King Immortal, Oliver so much I didn’t mention and only 1 ep I gave below 4* but that was mainly because Mark couldn’t take or throw a punch for the 20th time this season despite being 138% stronger and I had had enough. Couldn’t say how excited I am for the comics and not having to wait a year to know what happens.
