the most consistent season so far, i enjoyed every single episode (even 3x5). pretty much all the characters have great arcs this season (the best were rex, mark, oliver and eve) which is impressive considering there's quite a big cast. the last couple of episodes were also both absolute cinema and near perfect hours of tv. this is my favourite season of the show so far but i do have some issues. first, the animation quality is inconsistent. i understand why this is the case but that doesn't change the fact that it is an issue with the show and specifically this season more than the others in my opinion. a big part of that is probably because of how much action is in the last couple of episodes, and while 3x7 and 3x8 DO look amazing, it doesn't change the fact so much of the season doesn't. my favourite parts of the season were probably mark and eve's relationship, oliver's development, and how it related to mark's arc and change of perspective by the end of the season. it was a bit weird to see nolan and allen have such little screen time allocated to them but what we did get was GREAT (and i'm not too bothered bc the non omni man plot lines were more than entertaining enough to make up for it). overall, this was a very very very good season with similar issues to the first 2. i'm mostly able to overlook these issues tho bc of how enjoyable this show is and how well written the characters and story are tho(mostly). Debbie overall: decent 8/10 SPOILERS FROM NOW i do also have a few more minor plot related issues, specifically surrounding cecil and how i think his character is so much weaker this season. firstly, i said in my review i wasn't a huge fan of how cecil was written in 3x2 when he fought mark and i stand by that. in the first 2 seasons cecil was one of my favourite characters and always seemed so smart and calculated, so it makes no sense to me that he would pretty much cause such an avoidable fight with mark, creating a divide between him and his strongest ally turning him into potentially his strongest enemy. again, that fight was SO avoidable and seemed contrived considering cecil didn't need to do what he did at all. my other issue with him is in the final scene of the season. i didn't mention it in my review but my friend brought it up today and i just realised how stupid it is to trap conquest in some concrete and explosives. this is the same guy who a few minutes earlier said conquest was the strongest being earth has ever faced. and now he's going to let him heal so he can question him?😭😭 that's just not going to work is it. again, it all seems like a contrived way to get conquest to escape. if he could put that chip in mark's brain (the one from 3x2) he can easily do it with conquest and i'm PRAYING he did and they just didn't mention it bc otherwise it's just dumb. i WANT conquest to survive bc he was AMAZING in 3x8 but there's gotta be a better way to do it😭 i did like the cecil backstory tho so it's not all bad for his character this season🥰
