Well holy shit, took me two years to finish it compared to the rest of the world but here I am. I don't think I have ever seen such a well written show such as this. I know HBO really goes deep into that hidden darkness every human has, and hell, I was on the other side watching Barry when the last season for both were out. But man, I don't think I've seen a show get this much into my head since Bojack Horseman. Okay at first it is tough to get into, mainly because yeah, it's rich people having a dick measuring contest. This is an environment that ESPECIALLY THESE DAYS, I honestly never want to even see or partake in. Like even if the show doesn't constantly focus on that aspect, these are basically the guys calling the shots for the bastards of the GOP. But of course, the series does not glamorize their actions and when the consequences of this life pick up, it's really when the show gets going. It is actually amazing how the show gets you to sympathize these characters. It's like they're constantly at each others throats doing horrific shit to where you wish they'd fall and when it does happen, it's never satisfying, because we get to see the humanity in these characters. None of them at all deserve a happy ending and knowing how they reflect actual elites in real life, it just seems hard to sympathize with them. But the series constantly pulls it off. Sure at first, a lot of the deal plots can be tough to understand and do take me out of it, but the other half is just some amazing ass tv. Also can be funny. Probably HBO's best since Sopranos.
