My God this felt like an EVENT. The whole sequence of the Conquest fight was something out of this world. The dialogue. How you realize that at the end of the day all Viltrumite despise what they desire most. A human connection. Jeffery Dean Morgan’s delivery of the line “Take it to your grave” genuinely have me goosebumps. Mark finally completing his metamorphosis, how he’s just going to be so ruthless from now on. If every fight is going to be like that scene where he just kept hitting Conquest with his head then this show is reaching new levels of peak. That was genuinely horrific. Loved seeing Eve also achieve a fraction of her powers, specially after watching the Atome Even special and knowing how limitless her powers can get. Both their potentials are insane. Yet it still felt like they were holding back on the episode, like we could have gotten anything about Allen and Nolan at the end at least after not seeing them for three whole episodes. That’s my only criticism of the episode to be honest. I’m still a big fan of the little time they take at the end of each finale to set up what the next season is going to be about. The Damien Darkblood plot was so intriguing to me and he was a character that I really liked from the first season so it’s great to see him again. Also, Ceicil just never learns does he??😭😭 I loved every addition to the voice cast and I can’t believe I’ll have to wait a whole goddamn year at least for next season. Biggest regret of the year was binging this show but it was also one of the best decisions.
