9.5/10
Finally was able to finish this. After a while after I binged s1-4 i got a little burnt out. The first 3 episodes of season season are just incredible some of the best stuff this show has to offer. However episodes 4-7 are not the best and honestly made me very bored and just didnt watch the show for a while. Then episodes 8-10 are way better and felt like momentum was starting to build. Then it all works out. Episodes 11-16 are THE BEST Walking Dead episodes of all time. It is my favorite set of episodes in this show. If episodes 4-7 weren't such a drag for me I would consider this season to be a 10/10. Honestly this season is now tied with s4 and s2 for being the best season. The final arc is everything I wanted from this show, compelling character drama, intense action, amazing gore and effects. Great character arcs for like all the main cast almost. It just has everything. Last thing I want to talk about is the final 15 minutes of the Finale. And specifically the last scene in this season. It is my favorite scene in this show and there's no competition. I literally stood up and almost started clapping once the credits rolled. I have never done this to a show before. Rick somehow tops his s2 finale speech with an absolutely bone chilling speech. And what happens at the end was just the greatest set up and pay off this show has done. I told myself I would be done with this show after season 5 probably because that's where people say it starts to drop off. However I gotta watch season 6, and I know season 6 is still good but cracks start to show. But idc I have to watch it. At least I'm watching until this arc ends. So idk if I'll watch the 2nd half of season 6, but you can bet I'll start and finish the first half of season 6 very very fast. God I love this show.
