It’s been a little while since I watched Dexter. But I’ve returned. This is universally known as where the quality drops. I sorta agree but mainly don’t see it. It’s not series 1-4 but it’s still good. I really enjoyed this season.
I think having that first episode of the season being that good makes you wonder why people don’t like this season. I’ll be glad to say that I think people are wrong and I still enjoyed this show.
The death of Rita drives the plot and while I don’t necessarily agree with the decision I think it’s a good way to at least try something new five series in. I was invested in this season slighty less than usual but I do disagree that this is where it’s not as good but for me it’s like Game of Thrones S5 you can start to see the cracks. No matter how small.
Lumen played by Julia Styles is an interesting character for the series and opposite Dexter. Having Jonny Lee Miller be the special guest star of this season was arguably flawless because he’s so investing to watch. I loved him in Trainspotting & Elelementary (2012 - 2019)
