Exactly what MCU needed. The filmmaking of this season was very unique, starting from the moving camera angles in ep1 to make the audience a part of the conversation combined with award worthy background score & VFX throughout the season, S2 easily the best MCU show yet. I love how they used the concept of Snake Eating its own tail in almost every episode (Loki gave OB his name, Victor & OB were inspired by each other, Loki pruning himself) because this is exactly how time travel works, I always say Dark is my favourite show and thankfully Loki adapted this concept from it!
• Loki’s character arc has become the best in my opinion after this season, he has come a long way since being the antagonist of Avengers 1 to attaining his Glorious Purpose, he finally realised how he loved having friends but ends up all alone as the god of stories & Tom has done a phenomenal job portraying this tremendous growth of Loki since so many years, goosebumps!
OB proves why he deserved the Academy Award, he never leaves his character & makes you connect with his instantly.
• Majors, as I have said before, he’s the perfect choice for Kang, the fact that he has portrayed Victor so effortlessly after playing Kang in Antman 3 earlier this year and HWR in the same show speaks volumes about his talent and HWR was kuch more brutal in this season!
• Owen has Mobius finally gets his origin and his connect with Loki was too good.
I loved all the comic easter eggs of Victor, the intros corresponding to the episodes & even teasing Mobius as Odin variant, the ferris wheel fight was my fav, and the plot twist of Ms Minutes blew my mind! I also have my theories of how Rama Tut will meet Ravonna in the void to make Kang’s arc in MCU more Comic Accurate!
However I felt that ep5 could have been fleshed out alot by giving more depth to the sub characters, Sylvie needed a little more screen time & the show still had some minor inconsistencies with the time travel (again, WATCH “DARK” TO UNDER TIME TRAVEL!).
Overall, Loki S2 provides a perfect conclusion to the timelines & multiverse concepts for future MCU & ends on a very high note!
