this show is so invested in sloppily handling its plot threads. In the present timeline, nearly noone is left who you can root for, except maybe van In the past timeline, the ones who you can root for like nat or Lottie or even ben, they are already dead in the present timeline, which makes it harder to root for them because we already know their end. And that is all the more infuriating when you got once likable characters like shauna becoming more and more unlikable, in fact hateable tbh. When you have literally no one to root for, why'd you really even come back to watch this show. The present timeline is already the weaker one, even in the past one, it's starting to become a bit tedious, like this is not how you make an audience return back to your show week after week. And this issue is becoming worse season by season. I don't think it'll ever again reach the heights that S1 reached.
