The first season of the mentalist was a nice surprise to me because upon first glance this show looked really.. average, and I was very hesitant to start it but this season was an absolute blast, really good and really fun. Many shows have a "case of the week" style but this is one of the most enjoyable of that format that I have seen. Most of the characters don't get a crazy amount of fleshing out but they are really good and very entertaining. I already love Patrick Jane he’s a character that I’ve seen get alot of praise and so far he is really great, fun and interesting protagonist everything that they have done with his character so far has been peak. Very excited to continue this show! — Best Characters — 1. Patrick Jane 2. Teresa Lisbon -Definitely a good character on her own but her dynamic with Jane is super peak and is what makes me place her above the other characters 3. Cho -no business like Cho business 🗣️ — Best Episodes — 1. 1x11 "Red John's Friends" These top 3 are basically tied but this one was just an absolute thrill ride from start to end amazing ep 2. 1x16 "Bloodshot" -Super fun episode and great character work 3. 1x1 "Pilot" -Basically hooked me instantly, if your on the fence about starting the show just watch the pilot and you’ll see it’s peak 🙏 4. 1x23 "Red John's Footsteps" -Very strong season finale 5. 1x9 "Flame Red" -The most intriguing non-Red John case, great ep
