I can't believe they started out like this. The one-take, the music, the violence, the outcome. I don't want to continue, but I want to at the same time.
As for the rest of the episode, it works really well as a soft reboot / continuation from the original Netflix series. The visuals and cinematography are on point as you'd expect, and the parallels between Murdock and Fisk are oddly more relatable than ever.
Maybe that's why my favourite scene from the episode was those two talking in the diner. With all of their shared history, being able to just sit and catch up this way feels very poignant. I can't wait to see more. DAREDEVIL IS BACK!!!
