i’m torn because even though this episode was so stupid to the point where i thought the ending would reveal it was all a dream, it was so entertaining and fun [spoilers + yap] i’ve mentioned this before but once again i cannot believe that brian is dexter’s OLDER brother. he still looks so much younger than him, and especially in this episode acts wayyy younger than him. their whole dynamic is brian being a bad influence troublemaker while dexter is the one keeping him in check, which doesn’t really make sense. his whole appearance was just pointless and plain fan service like i said earlier i literally thought this episode was going to turn out to be a dream while dexter was hooking up with that cashier in the closet, speeding down the highway, and shooting bullets. this is so out of character for him and he barely had as much of a crash out when rita died. i guess he has been more erratic since then, and brian’s dark passenger was provoking him, but still. maybe this episode would’ve been better if they didn’t bring back brian and “trinity” in the SAME episode. it’s so dumb and if debra and miami metro really thought trinity came back i’m sure they would’ve been more reactive. half of the episode i was mad that they made jonah a killer, so the ending was nice when they revealed he only killed his mom who had been verbally abusing them anyways. if they really wanted to take it further they could’ve had dexter take jonah under his wing and help him, especially after he literally asked how to move on. why did they have to edge us with debra and quinn?? this was probably my favorite scene of the episode. i’m sad that it’s officially over between them but this conclusion is much better and i can actually like quinn again not much of the doomsday killer this episode but i continue to feel bad for travis. i’m surprised that dexter isn’t going after him as much as we would’ve thought, but hopefully next episodes this storyline will start to have an ending in sight i love this nerd intern dude of masuka’s so much but surely he’s gotta be evil or smth because he’s getting so much screen time. round of applause for him pulling jamie??
