surprisingly a hilarious episode?? [spoilers for next episodes + yap] being stupid is so wonderful, it hasn’t even been a year since i’ve seen this but i totally forgot about this entire episode. i also for some reason thought that ozymandias was next episode so that’s a little disappointing, but of course this entire stretch is just perfection walt is such a genius like actually wow. that tape was so hilarious and he’s so smart for including the detail about the hospital payments. this gives him just as much circumstantial evidence as hank has and even though this tape could be proven wrong it would hold up the process a TON if he did release it. he probably should’ve done it and at least he wouldn’t be in prison (or yk) for his short lifespan. that dinner scene was so funny too i felt bad for that waiter, the poor guy just wants a tip!! one day i will make a master-list of awkward TV dinners because they’re so iconic. i hate marie so much but her telling walt to kill himself is one of my favorite lines in the show. she really gagged everyone there. like i mentioned earlier i completely forgot about this entire episode and i had especially been wondering how jesse ended up working with hank. this episode answers this when he has the realization that huell had snagged the ricin cigarettes off of him earlier, which again another genius moment they’re really having jesse think this season. i love saul but it’s no question he deserved the ass beating. my first time watching this season i remember being disappointed about jesse’s little involvement in season 5a but i’m pretty sure if i remember correctly this next episode is majority about him so im excited 🫶
