It’s pretty amazing to me how many there’s of these little exchanges in this show, that are so impactful yet so simple, genuine genius writing.

The Leftovers in 27 episodes, managed to have some of the best episodes i’ve saw in my life & I think that I’m not at the end of my surprises with the last one, I find this just so strong.

Getting into this episode I was scared of one thing is that it would be a rehash of International Assassin, considering they were again putting Kevin in a near death experience. Well despite the fact that yeah Kevin return in his subconscious state & world, I think this is atleast as creative as IA because despite the fact that it takes the same formula, it manages to detach itself completely from it. 

Creativity also comes down to the aesthetics and the direction and I’m quite sure that this is the most well-thought and produced in the whole show, it’s full of ideas. It was dramatic, there’s even plenty of moments where I laughed and oh boy, it was emotionally powerful. Emotionally powerful especially because of these last sequences, the scene between the two Kevin… Justin Theroux is the face of this fucking show. 

Kevin’s character is one of the most impactful TV protagonist in nearly 3 seasons, the idea of his character but most importantly, how they executed is beautiful. His exploration through his mind, through his own individual is something so powerful to me, no pun intended, he’s clearly for me the best character of The Leftovers. I don’t even know who I prefer between the 3 best for me but I don’t know, this is maybe a little lower than the others still, what a masterpiece.
