Charles Aznavour opening and closing an episode of The Leftovers, what more could I ask for ? All of the Matt's episodes have been thematically rich and so much layered for his character, and it's hard for me to choose between 2x5 and this one (even though why should we have to choose huh) still I think this one is the the most huge development for his character. 1x3 was just so amazing so early in the season giving a brilliant characterization but I don't know if it's because the fact that it was so early in the season made the whole thing less impactful over the show or just that they didn't capitalize with what they did. This one is just the most important episode for Matt's character for me, the uses of religions and beliefs has rarely been as interesting as in The Leftovers. The last 10 minutes are just so perfectly written and I'm very fan of all of it, I hope there will again some Matt's scenes in the last to extend the pleasure, only three more. 👊
