Poster for Twin Peaks
"diane, 11:30 a.m., february twenty-fourth. entering the town of Twin Peaks, five miles south of the canadian border, twelve miles west of the state line." in honor of david lynch, whose work I haven't seen, I have decided to start watching this series for the sake of educating myself on david lynch filmmaking style. a very interesting start to twin peaks. the grief of laura's death spreads very quickly and it is a discomforting experience to watch as laura's mother, father and friends of laura starts to break down in tears. I wanted to see if I could get invested into the world of twin peaks. I think it may have to take me a few episodes to really get into the flow of things but I enjoyed this pilot episode a lot. i really like the opening theme and the jazzy soundtrack accompanying the scenes with FBI dale cooper. kyle maclachlan has a attractive charm/charisma about him. i am excited to watch him in the rest of the series. despite the horror of the situation of the main plot, there is something calming about twin peaks. the town is small, full of nature and beautiful to look at. there is something mysterious surrounding twin peaks and it's up to dale cooper and sheriff harry s. truman to find out who murdered homecoming queen, laura palmer. I guess that I have some binge watching to do. especially if I want to watch fire walk with me. i want to watch it so bad but I have seen online that you have to watch season 1 and 2 in order to understand what is going on.
