The Pitt (2025)
really appreciate the important lessons that come out of this show - and the way it does so fairly well without seemingly overly preachy or too tell-rather-than-show-y. like before this episode i didn’t even know you could overdose on MDMA or that street teams were a thing. a couple episodes ago i had no idea the freedom house ambulance service existed. it’s also become clear in this episode that the show is tackling issues that the healthcare system faces, and this one introduces a VERY important and prevalent one: safety for nurses. and of course you have mental health in health care professionals. but we don’t necessarily pedestal them as perfect sacrificial heroes, because they have flaws too-dangerous ones-like racial and body type biases that can have serious and unnecessary consequences. side note the HR professional in me never thought i’d hear a tv show mention an employee assistance program but i guess if there was one to do it it would be this one! lol
