I actually didn’t think this season would surpass the first season for me but in the end it actually did. Yes the first half is basically just farming simulator with a few great episodes. But the second half is truly amazing! This season mainly focuses on the story and of Thorfinns characters development. I gotta say that I can’t think of a anime with better story than this show. (Sorry Aot) Thorfinn got so many fantastic dynamics in this season but I gotta say that no dynamic beats him and Askeladd. Thorfinn and Einar first met as slaves and they worked with each other and there was even a point when Einar hated him. Their relationship improved so much over the season and now they’re even brothers. Beautiful bond between them! Some of the side characters are very well made and very enjoyable. I for example love Snake, probably one of my favorite characters of the show. His, Thorfinn and Einars goodbye were so peak🙏🏻 This season is very emotional for reasons I won’t spoil. But all characters story fits together perfectly! Canute is also a character that grew on me very much in these last couple episodes. His character development is also peak fiction.
