This show had everything Mr Beast has ever put into his YouTube videos, but these 10 Episodes gave him a chance to amplify the professionalism & raise the stakes by a mile. These 9-10 hours allowed him to explore every virtue of peak storytelling, establishing characters, creating the perfect adrenaline rush for every situation, adding inimaginable twists & delivering the perfect entertainment. Not to forget how he broke a plethora of world records & changed many lives with the largest prize pool in entertainment history. It was extremely difficult to choose the best moments from this show, but what stood out the most to me it’s editing: every suspenseful situation kept me on the edge of my seat as the background score got intensified, cinematic black bars came into play, the episodes ended with the most unreal cliffhangers & the outcome became even more rewarding! Especially the train & the coin flip edit which showcased the past memories of the contestants & the moments that let them ahead! The camerawork is also extremely unique, especially the drops from the platforms or the crazy drone shors! The games were quite unique: loved the strategies, sabotages, mind play, strength, teamwork (E9 being the most intense) but didn’t understand the self sacrifices. The island subplot played out amazingly, especially Jimmy teaching us about how the Navy Seals work, just didn’t like the island’s winner. Jimmy’s crew added subtle humour with light jokes & addressed the audience’s POV which was equally important, kudos to Chancler, Karl, Mack & Tareeq! The show also does an amazing job to establish a strong connection with a lot of contestants while exploring to what extent humans can go for a life changing amount of money. The quote in E1 “Sometimes the people whom you think you can trust the most, actually the people you can trust the least” says it all about the betrayals or even the friendships made. *Spoiler* We explore all kinds of people: Jeremy’s belief in destiny, earning trust & ironically getting out with a game of chance, he was my favourite! Akira’s mission to get rid of all the sadist players by taking risks in the train game; karma hit hard the Habibi brothers & Mia (her hate against Jeremy). Deano keeping his game in the dark with the Million dollars & people unnecessarily calling out his smart play in the train game. Yessi ironically screwing up the memory game after having the perfect revenge story. Courtney staying fair to games & saying “great shot” on being evicted. JC’s choice between his family or considering about his fellow players (that zoom out edit with his cash filled room gave me chills). Twana being the most selfless with those Million dollars, having a coconut like personality (a strict wrestler, determined with her signature eyebrow expression but a soft hearted lady). And finally, the man who made me a firm believer of “God’s Plan” by winning the final game in the 1st round, Jeff! So happy for him & really wishing the best for his family, don’t remember the last time when I genuinely cried from a show’s result! Nitpicks: could have slowed down the eliminations as we had the Top10 for like the last 3 eps which made the initial episodes feel a little fast paced. They also forgot about the Captain’s Room for immunity after 1 game. Lastly, I personally would have kept lesser chance dependent games to make them feel more in our control. Overall, Beast Games was more than a game show, it felt like a personal win for all those content creators (like myself) who wish to execute their dream projects one day. Thank you Mr Beast for spreading so many smiles & introducing us to such an amazing set of people as a commentary on the psychological mindset in a competition & existence of humanity! Never thought I’d keep a game show in S Tier! PS: Jimmy literally gave them a free vacation on an island so stop that baseless hate with the living conditions, ill treatment & what not 😭.
