Hannibal is incredible television, a masterclass in directing, cinematography, and character development. Will and Hannibal’s constantly evolving dynamic is one of the best ever put to screen, and they stand as two of my favorite written TV characters. This show had massive shoes to fill, considering The Silence of the Lambs is one of the greatest films ever made and Anthony Hopkins’ Hannibal is one of the most legendary performances of all time. Yet, time and time again, the show rises to the challenge and even manages to fill those shoes. While I do have some issues with how the story is set up, the payoff is still absolutely worth it.
