Maybe low enough to be a hot take but still good. The script here just leaned too far into melodrama for my liking. "Not even God can stop that now" and "He didn't help you. I did" are just SO angsty it's hard to feel organic. Foggy's family could've been more endearing if so much of it wasn't so saccharine and tropey. Fisk's speech was indeed good, but the fact that Nadeem didn't roll his eyes the second Fisk started monologuing instead of answering his question goes to show the writing is lacking in self-awareness. Still, I like to see Matt drawing closer to his old pals and Fisk and Nadeem getting all tangled up together. Every storyline right now is super engaging, a nice distinction from season 2 (not that it wasn't also like this at this point in the season, but the way we left that season was severely imbalanced in investment).
