Expands on many aspects of the first season & becomes much larger as a result, mostly through the Casino plot. Wendy made the most improvement as a single character; her political machinations & involvement with the money laundering business to the point where she is the needle-mover by the end — I’m excited to see the evolution of her character. Ruth’s actress had some great moments too.

The cartel have been massively under-utilised, both as a threatening presence & in terms of plot logic. Helen’s not a bad mediator but the urgency & drama is so unnecessarily undercut when you cut them out entirely, especially with the show’s slow pace. That being said, I’m glad the show killed off Petty, Jacob, & Cade. There’s an opportunity to expand the villainy of the show to a new level with a new threat.
