this has potential due to it's legitimately creepy moments, but it sadly disappoints along the way. i do not care for dan nor melody nor literally anyone. the plot drags on for WAY too long, resulting into a tedious & boring unraveling of secrets. it would've had perfect pacing if it had only 6 episodes. the plot is....really predictable. i'm getting tired of these kinds of horror-mysteries for the mysteries are always the same thing. of course it's a secret cult. of course it's goal is summoning a demon from a statue to the real world. of course there's a secondary character that's recruited into the cult against their will & the main character has to save them. the only kind of unpredicable thing here is the ending twist, which ngl is pretty cool. it has it's moments, but it tells a lot when it took you a couple of days to finally finish the last episode for you are just not invested AT ALL to this boring story.
