Only veryyyyyy slightly worse than S1 but that’s hardly saying anything cause S1 was basically perfect other than a few very minor things Insane. Just insane. If you told me this is where the show would’ve gone I would have NEVER guessed, yet it just happened so naturally. Continues S1s best strength which was the most engaging plot to anything I’ve ever watched before. Character wise it’s slightly weaker, no masterpiece flashback episodes like John Lockes Kidney transplant or the relationship between Jack and his Father- but all extremely solid character writing throughout. Some characters felt a little sidelined throughout getting much less attention then they did earlier on (Claire, Michael, even Kate) which was a little bothersome, but not too much to ruin the experience. The new characters tho, all amazing. Ana Lucia, Eko, Rose (basically), Bernard, Desmond, Libby, and Henry (which isn’t his name) are all equally interesting in their own right and actually add something to the greater show. I can’t determine whether (spoilers) the deaths of Ana Lucia and Libby are a problem with this season to me because I feel like we just met them and I really want to know more but maybe that’s why the twist was so good? They served their purpose within the plot but as characters were around just long enough for the audience to care for them. Most shocked I’ve been watching a show in a longggg time. And the others bro… perfect villain and such a genuinely terrifying looming threat.
