i was worried this would be a case of "neurotypical cast is continuously perplexed by central autistic character they can't/don't want to understand", so i was pleasantly surprised by the autistic adult support group scene, as well as bea recognising autistic traits in her son. patience scripting her phone call was especially relatable to me, and the flashback scene where she gets misdiagnosed made my blood boil. i felt very seen and not talked down to, which is rad!! a solid start, curious to see where this will go.
