I now realized that Norman Osborne is acting as a kind of benevolent father figure to Peter here. And that’s very interesting to me as a huge Tiger & Bunny anime fan because that’s exactly what Albert Maverick was to Barnaby in that story. Until Barnaby learned the truth. And it will be just as painful here when Peter learns that Osborne’s motives aren’t entirely altruistic. That will be such a huge blow. 

Still enjoying Lonnie’s story and I was thinking about how some of it rings true in the real world. Like, how the boss mentioned how the gang keeps his neighborhood safe from other gangs. Feels a lot like the commentary in the Insomniac Spiderman games about Wilson Fisk. His control over the criminal underworld kept the other gangs and mobs in check. 

Very scary to consider since Lonnie’s involvement here was only to take his keep his little brother safe (by taking his spot), which was a crazy, impulsive decision in the grand scheme of things.

I was wondering about where this show would be placed in the larger MCU in terms of continuity, universes and timelines. I’m glad the Sokovia Accords and CA: Civil War were discussed, so I understand that this show has SOME kind of connection to the larger world building. Enjoyed Osborn’s little speech about the consequences of The Avengers actions (very Team Tony coded lol). I kept thinking this series could setup a Dark Reign / Dark Avengers film or series, but I doubt we’ll ever get to that storyline any time soon.
