This is my review of the first 24 episodes of blue lock. Aka season 1 Blue lock is a really great show, I actually don't really like soccer, but this show has really got me so engaged and I enjoyed it so much that now I may actually like it. To get the bad out of the way, I think the animation gets a lot of hate in the later season and I was wondering if it would be bad in season 1 and it's not horrible but it's not the best. Don't get me wrong the character designs look great and actually majority of the animation looks really well but whenever there is an intense soccer match some times it will switch from 2d animation to 3d animation and it's always weirdly shocking and it just kinda throws me off. Also the show kinda get repetitive, it feels like every episode or every match was just like "this guy is way stronger then me!" And then they eventually find someone stronger. But those are my only real complaints. I really enjoy the story and the set up, I really like this almost squid game type elimination system and it gets me really hooked and into these characters. Speaking of the character they are great. So many unique characters and designs and I really like all of them. Isagi is a really good basic main character, he grows a lot and almost in like an unbelievable way. I love Bachira and I like the spotlight he gets later on. I also really like Nagi, Kunigami and Chigiri. But honeslty all the side characters I enjoyed and I found myself worried about some of the randoms we had seen so far. The intensity of the show is really good they keep you in your toes and it's just a really enjoyable show plain and simple. Lastly one small problem is the absolutely baffling choice they make with one of the characters at the end of this season. I won't spoil anything, but it just doesn't make any sense and I think they have to find a way to fix it (iykyk) Overall I really enjoyed this season of blue lock and the movie and season 2 will be watched shortly. 8/10
