Jesus Christ... Its been a day since I watched this episode and I'm still in awe, can't even begin to describe the magnitude of this ending. After sleeping on it and watching an unhealthy amount of tik tok edits and videos I think its safe for me to say this is easily the finest hour of cinema I have ever seen. No episode, book or movie made me feel the way this episode had. As always, when something is this worldwide glazed, I tend to think I may find it overrated because of the enormous expectations I have. Everyone's Waiting has been my n1 most anticipated episode since at least two years and I can say it exceeded my expectations. SPOILERS⬇️ I don't usually cry, but the last ten minutes had me in shembles. The episode itself is brilliant, but the finale montage is easily my favorite scene in television. One thing this show sure does right is play with my feelings, and the last scene is the perfect example of how to end a series and cause a deep impact on the viewer. The music, the cinematography, seeing how the life of the characters we've seen suffering throughout 5 seasons finally gets better, how each one of them died sooner or later and the deep message behind it.... its the most emotional I've been with anything and it considerably increased my love for the show. The most perfect ending ever👑 Nate died 3 episodes ago and his presence is still in everyone's mind. He is barely in a couple of scenes and still dropped the two best quotes of the show for me.And I'd like to talk about both a lil. "I've spent my whole life being scared. Scared of not being ready, of not being right, not being who I should be. And where did it get me?" This is THE quote, Claire has the opportunity to live a new life, the life she always dreamed as a photographer in New York, but in the last moments she gets a call and her job was gone. Having second thoughts it seems Claire's dream was over and then Nate appears. Nate struggled with death, the legacy and pressure from his family and his own future, he was often "lost" as he said in 3x13, and he always battled with himslef. Thats what pushes Claire, its a really powerful message for her - and us - to keep moving forward, dont waste time and do whatever makes you happy, because life is too short and death comes for everybody. And then the next morning when Claire is finally about to leave after saying goodbye to Keith, David and the kids, Nate appears again. "You can't take a picture of this, its already gone" 📷 Actually a top 3 line in fiction, its a cryptic sentence and doesn't have only one meaning, but for me its just: don't hold on the moments, live the life. Do you actually enjoy taking pictures? Or you just enjoy seeing them 10 years later, when they are just vague memories with nostalgic value. You are too busy taking the time of making that photo to look stunning, that you are completely missing the moment, and that moment isnt going to come back. At least thats my interpretation of it. And I just realized after seeing the last 20 minutes again that this is the last line of the show 💫 So after almost 2 years I think Saul Gone finally got dethroned as my top 1 episode. Everyone's Waiting takes my n1 and I really think it won't be easy to change. This is going to stick with me forever.
