Despite having all the makings of a cheap cash-grab (I.e. being a spinoff of a beloved series, being told you HAVE to watch this to understand the next part of the OG series, having big name cameos at the end if you make it there etc.) this show stands on its own really well. I was throughly entertained and didn’t find myself counting down to a Homelander cameo just to keep my attention. One of the best spinoffs I’ve seen in a while!
