Poster for Severance
Severance probably has one of the best premises in television history. The problem is what to do with it so as not to ruin a project with almost unlimited potential. Unfortunately I see that they didn't know how to manipulate and develop the idea in the best way all the time. If it was done on certain occasions, but if the plot doesn't have continuity in the level of interest it arouses in its audience, everything will be uphill. This series is one of those where there is a lot of room for free interpretations, for metaphors, for imagining, for elubricating theories, for even conspiring. But I don't know, maybe the turkey needed to be in the oven for a little longer. Perhaps the scriptwriters needed to give the story a couple more turns before sending it to the production companies. Fortunately, with everything being so volatilely uneven, the season finale was good. It was interesting, full of suspense, with events that leave you screwed on the edge of your seat, but everything again falls into a cliff by having an open ending. I have the enormous feeling that it could have been a much better series than it was. I am aware that my opinion won't find much ally refuge, but what can I tell you? You know that this page is direct and honest. With all that said, yes, I recommend it, because it serves to create debate, to reflect and talk about various topics that come to the surface when watching the intriguing first season of Severance. 6.78/10
