10/10 would throw myself off a cliff for Neel I just adore this show so much. I get such a childlike giddiness and wonder from it and it had me smile constantly. Like everyone says, it's Star Wars meets the Goonies, pirate space adventure what's not to love? It starts off so domestic, and I like seeing mundane things like going to school and the suburbs shown in Star Wars. I was pleasantly surprised to see such realistic portrayals of children, which makes sense as they're not poverty-striken or battle-worn. They're sheltered, can be immature, stupid, annoying, but we see that there's a beauty in innocence as well, compared to the harsh childhoods of Jod or the kids on the sister planet. The child actors deserve praise and they were all really great. And naturally Jude Law is great and having a lot of fun with the role. The show isn't subtle at all about the "barrier" and letting your children out into the world. The galaxy is a cruel place, but beautiful and wondrous. Never lose that sense of adventure and excitement. Watching this made me feel like a kid again, dreaming about a galaxy far, far away, and I think it's refreshing to have a show that focuses on such feelings that made many children fall in love with Star Wars in the first place. Look, is it as complex as Andor? No. But I had a fun time watching it. My family likes it, hell, even my mom who rarely likes anything. I know it may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it might be my favorite Star Wars disney+ show now but idk THE SCORE IS ALSO A BANGER I do think that the ending felt pretty abrupt and I wish there was more resolution. I can only hope this show doesn't get canceled like the Acolyte considering viewership was so low. However, I think it will be hard to make a 2nd season exude the same charm as the first since they are no longer quite fresh off the boat, but the cast has good chemistry so I'd be happy anyway lol
