One of the greatest season ones ever put to screen From the direction to the slow burn this show does a great job at pulling in the audiences attention from the start of the first episode. The atmosphere of the Lumen building is so unique and the white hallways feel like a maze. The lighting and camera work are 2nd to none and in some scenes show the true emotion of how characters are feeling. Great achievement all around in the technical department from Ben Stiller. The overall plot and themes with the atmosphere and the mystery of the show are what make this show so amazing. In ways like Twin Peaks, the characters and the character writing are still very good all around, but it’s the direction, plot, themes, and overall atmosphere of the show put it over the top for me. Will say Marc is still a very good character and very interesting one. His backstory is devastating and makes totally empathetic towards his character for pretty much the whole season. Hard to give the rest of the characters reviews since we got very little on them, but I would say Helly is a very complex character and easily a top 2 character in the show with Mark. She kind of symbolizes the Corporate vs worker mentality with her two characters being polar opposite of each other in what they stand for. Top 5 characters: 1. Mark 2. Helly 3. Harmony Cobel 4.
