This is a show that deserves so much better than me putting off watching it for 2 years and then putting off logging it for a month lol.
Some of the most compelling Star Wars content in recent memory. I hate to fall back on the old "it doesn't rely on nostalgia" because I do think there is value in that if done right, but I'm really amazed how it got me to care about all these characters and conflicts that I had no attachment to when a show like Ahsoka failed to get me fully invested in Ahsoka and Sabine's relationship (two characters who I already loved and were already fully invested in). I was glued to every single plotline, and I always love some good Star Wars politics.
While we watch Cassian slowly come to believe in the cause and the man he is in Rogue One, I love that we also see the brutal costs of running the rebellion through Luthen and Mon Mothma, and I just it's really grounding to see the logistics of it all. I enjoy how competent Dedra is, and it's refreshing for an imperial. Syril is a standout and is so enjoyable and pathetic to watch as he dedicates himself to this oppressive system despite it caring nothing for him.
I also love that this show has actual full-length episodes unlike most other Disney+ shows, and I hope S2 follows suit!
