Season 1 of Landman had promise when I thought I knew what it was. The more it went on, the more it went away from that and the focus became scattered. It is enjoyable on a surface level, you can have fun with the characters (most of them, some are wasted talent), but you have to settle for entertainment and give a little in the plot department. I can see why people would really enjoy this season, but it lacked a connection and stable driving force to keep me invested all the way through. The finale set up an interesting conflict for season two, but the jury is still out on if I'll be tuning in.
