Honestly one of the best animated shows I’ve ever seen. James Gunn did his thing again with the wacky superhero/anti-hero team, but still managed to make it feel pretty refreshing. Each character’s backstory was super tragic, and the character’s themselves were so cool, that it made me instantly latch onto them. My favourites were definitely Rick Flagg Sr., Dr. Phosphorus, and Weasel. I loved the overall story as well, as although nothing groundbreaking, it was essentially a well-written backdrop for these characters to shown. Excited for what this show, and the new team have to offer next season (as well as the DCU as a whole). Off to a great start so far, so here’s hoping that continues into Superman and onwards.
