The absolute sensation and trend of 2021 in terms of streaming series was Squid Game. The plot is a magnet for the masses, since everyone has once dreamed of winning a million-dollar prize, but this time the dream scenario comes with moral and ethical questions to see how far one can go to win said prize.
Suspense, action, drama, blood and sweat come together in a series that doesn't hesitate to use exaggerated performances to further accentuate the scenes that cry out for an attentive audience at all times. A simple story, without many twists, but shocking in its brutal and bloody events, it is ultimately very entertaining. Almost like a live action anime, as there are sequences where the direction and editing play a little in that direction.
In short, recommended for adolescent and adult audiences who aren't sensitive to gore or interpersonal betrayals.
