A new start for a new Doctor, with a new platform and a new actor. Ncuti Gatwa is great as The Doctor. I even like Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday, even though her storyline did not go anywhere. I am not a huge fan of the season as a whole though. So, the 2 main storylines (Ruby's mum and mrs Flood) did not get resolved to my liking. The 2 last episodes kind of, tried, but missed the mark. I like specific episodes though (The Church on Ruby Road, Boom, Dot and Bubble, Rogue. They are good episodes, and they stand on their own. You can tell that they don't tie into the main overarching situation. Those are just, 'monster of the week'-type episodes. I like this new Doctor, I hope that they keep going (into a better direction). I don't have a lot of hope though, and I mainly distrust Disney's intentions. I don't think that they will give it the care that it needs. Doctor Who isn't doing great in terms of goodwill at this point in time. Good luck Ncuti.
