House (2004)
oh... that's gore. gore of my comfort character... finishing this show was a looong time coming. i started season one of House new year's eve of 2023. so it has taken me basically an entire year to finish this show. for a lot of reasons. mostly because i'm just a slow/noncommital tv watcher with an attention span problem so i took some really long breaks followed by periods of watching nonstop. i'm also kinda busy so sometimes i just didn't have the time to sit down and watch this. i was also trying to delay myself from finishing it a little because... i really REALLY love this show. and season 8 did NOT disappoint. it was very depressing, partially because the ending was looming on the horizon, but also the tone just felt distinctly dismal this time around. it was probably due to the empty space left by Cuddy that... i fear Foreman did not quite fill. maybe that was the point but he just did not have the same presence that Cuddy did. however what this season lacked in House/Cuddy action it made up for in House/Wilson action which.... you know i'll take any day. although i LOVED cuddy im glad her absence allowed House and Wilson's friendship to really shine, and those last couple episodes were just.... ugh. so sad. but still satisfying. it was nice to see everyone have their own little bittersweet ending. house and wilson are genuinely endgame like im sorry but you cannot convince me they didn't like each other a little. they're sweet. the finale was good, but it definitley didn't live up to House's Head/Wilson's Heart standards. but really what does. still so good and... SAD. it genuinely makes me sentimental that i'm done with this show because it's been my life and personality for an entire YEAR. House has been with me through it all. the ups and downs. thank you house... but really, thank you robert sean leonard for being my beautiful princess. i wouldn't have watched this shit without you.
