This was another really entertaining and overall good to even great season from Barry. 

From the end of season 1 you see the direction of Barry trying to escape his past actions consequences by not trying to kill anyone anymore. He really does try to change and even like an episode of Ronny/Lily with all the violence it has, he never killed anyone that whole episode.

Barry had not killed anyone since killing Moss. As the “starting now” statement he really wanted to keep true at heart. Going more into his backstory early on in the season was a great choice as it showed how much joy he had gotten with his first kill on his job compared to his second kill. The true duality of killing someone is shown amazingly in this show. 

Also this season shows how Barry’s relationship with Fuches is pretty much the same relationship he has to killing. He truly tries to escape it, but as Fuches gets closer to his personal life, the more likely he is to kill again shown by the last little three episode arc. 

Other things I really liked this season was Barry’s dynamic with Gene and Sally, the lighting in 2x8 and overall in the whole show, cinematography, and NoHo Hank.
