This show is so good man I can’t believe I thought this was a show meant for kids when it’s clearly not. There’s lots that actually holds up in this show and I feel like the acting has gotten so much better since the pilot and the character moments + adventure and imaginative world building makes for great tv to watch. This episode had great moments that really stood out to me. Fern being emotional about not being a good captain and reflecting upon how she can’t do what she tries to accomplish and removing that tough girl persona from herself to show us a true reflection on how she’s feeling was so good and removed any issues I had with her, mostly being that she felt like she was one of those strong and independent woman characters where they are only there to be better than the men of the show that Disney likes to cook up, to my surprise, she is anything but that after this episode. Jod was also good, even though his intentions aren’t 100% clear if he’s growing an emotional attachment to the kids or not, or if he’s only using them to get to the treasure at their planet (I assume the latter) because how there hasn’t been enough interactions between the crew and him to grow an emotional attachment towards. Neel was an obvious standout, where this episode definitely focused on him the most. He was just great, and honestly a way better lead than Wim is, because Wim is just far apart from being as good as Fern, Neel, and Jod. He is better than KB by quite a sizeable margin at least. After this episode… Jod >= Fern >== Neel >> Wim > K8 It’s insane how this is the 2nd or 3rd best Star Wars show with ease. Andor is obviously the best, with The Mandalorian being close with this show. Best episode so far
