Wow this wasn’t at all as bad as fans on Twitter made it out to be. This was a fantastic episode with the exception that they completely destroyed one of the most complex and well written characters on the show. I mean I get that Daemon isn’t supposed to be a good man but I do truly believe he loved his family. So I find it ver hard to believe he would first of all ignore Rhaenyra’s screams for help during her stillbirth and absolutely fkn ridiculous to think he would strangle Rhaenyra. That’s is completely out of character for him. I unfortunately saw Luke’s end from the books on Twitter so I knew what to expect. I do agree that making it all an accident kind of destroys the feeling but god am I happy they made it so. I was so fkn terrified for that scene the whole episode and it didn’t feel just as horrible that it wasn’t cold blooded murder on a little boy by a grown man. I feel so fkn bad for Rhaenyra she is genuinely a good person unlike most character in this universe and she doesn’t deserve any of this. I’m thrilled that we will get to see Winterfell and the Starks next season. It’s gonna feel so empty and sad without house of the dragon Mondays and I’m not sure if I can wait til 2024. They need to get it done before then. Yo and that scene with Daemon going up to an enormous dragon singing has to be the most badass shit I’ve seen.
