one of the best pilots of all time. the shaky cam is perfect for this show, as well as the zoom ins and quick cuts, giving the show a gritty feel which is perfect for the crooked Strike Team. every character is introduced incredibly well and each one of them has a certain appeal or charm, especially vic. Vic Mackey is quickly introduced to the viewer with all his faults, but for now at least the show does a good job of making him likeable in an inexplicable sort of way. there are multiple plotlines to follow in this episode but the show does a good job of making them easy to follow even with the 'rough around the edges' style of shooting. this allows for an action packed pilot that sets up the rest of the season perfectly. what solidified the episode for me was the ending. i was already convinced of this shows potential in the first 10 minutes but that ending scene left my mouth wide open while i stared at the credits. hyped to continue this show high 4.5/5
