It's not our physical reality that makes our existence meaningful or "real" but rather the connections that we go through and experience that shape all of us.

Maddie couldve chose to be free from pain or suffering, to be an actual god with nearly her entire family and friends being all uploaded on the cloud.

But continuing that path simply just wasnt for her, instead what she wanted was to relive in the physical world making connections with Caspian and start all over. 

I want to say that this finale by any means is not devaluing the life that which Ci's or what UI's go through including her family that were uploaded, because at the end of the day both physical and virtual worlds are by all means simulated. 

It's just what she thinks is best for herself because the physical world is the world where she mostly reminisced over because she wants to experience those connections and feel loved again by Caspian, and I respect that.

 It was never about which world was more "real" or legitimate, but rather the experiences and connections that reasonates within ourselves that shapes who we are. That is what makes us real

I will say that this isn't a perfect finale but one of my favorites, and one of most satisfying series finales I've seen. By all means this is the happy ending for Caspian and Maddie despite how upset I was seeing what they went throughout the last 2 episodes. I hope this show continues to get more recognition it deserves and I am so happy to witness all of this. 9.8/10
