They force soooo many Dean-puns but none of them are good!!!! This season really drives me nuts the more I rewatch. Feels like a totally different show. I do like the Sophie B Hawkins and Freaky Friday episodes. Even the origin story episode had potential but felt so off. The Shawshank Thanksgiving episode was probably the best concept they had but it was a huggggge swing and a miss. The fucking balls to reconcile the storylines of Jeff meeting his dad, Jeff graduating, and the character origins. I’m not even a Harmon mark but jfc they shit all over what he built. I get so embarrassed whenever I remember that I’m just another dumb adult who gets worked up over a dumb network comedy but this show really does have heart that isn’t felt this season.
