I’m hooked. I’m a sucker for this stuff, I’ll happily admit it! I have nostalgia and a bias for Star Wars! I also have bias towards exciting, epic, and inspired fantasy filmmaking for children. I have a bias towards shows and movies that take me places I want to visit, where I see loads of weird little guys. I am generally pretty glowing towards cinema that makes great use of VFX work, understanding the power of that magic, and wielding it with glee. And I’m especially soft for shows and movies with direction that vividly brings all of this wonder to life! Jude Laws range has never been more apparent than in this week where I’ve gone from this, to The Order, and back to this show again. Dudes a movie star. The shows brilliant use of The Volume continues with the planet sitting on the horizon on the moon. Their silhouettes walking along the ridge line was 😙👌🏼 and you can only have that kind of light source with that technology. The fan service is so good in this too. Everything works if you’ve haven’t seen anything Star Wars, but if you have there’s something every other minute that nods to the larger world and prior shows and movies.
